The Bible is a collection of texts sacred to the religions of Judaism and Christianity; there are many variations of the same elementary text, each with their own minor distinctions. The Bible is a very well-selling book which has strongly influenced both literature and history.

Several of the graves at the church in Godric's Hollow featured quotes taken from the Bible; the Potter grave, for instance, was adorned with a verse from 1 Corinthians 15:26 ("The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death") and the Dumbledore tomb displayed Matthew 6:21 ("Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also")[1] Given that these verses come from the Bible, a religious text, it is possible that both families practised either Judaism or Christianity[1].
